If you’re wondering how to make us excited to photograph your wedding, just follow Antoine and Lili’s example: tell us all about how you love to create art and how your love for creating art will be wholly represented in your wedding. We have a soft spot for artsy weddings, and it wasn’t just Lili and Antoine, Lili’s bridesmaids used their considerable skills to handmake Lili’s wedding dress! We have to get better friends (not really though…our friends are the best).
You can also make us excited to photograph your wedding by caring about the environment so much that you don’t have any cut flowers or plants. Don’t get us wrong–we adore gorgeous bouquets as much as any other photographer. But if you can get around cutting those fabulous flowers?? Incredible!! Lili chose to have all the plants and flowers remain potted so the guests could take them home at the end of the night. She then gathered lace doilies from her friends and family to use as the base of each centerpiece for the reception.
Lili is also an insanely talented artist. Seriously, go check out her work here. She used her fabulous skills to create all the designs for the invitations, menus, table numbers, and programs.
Being a wedding photographer in France affords us the opportunity to eat some truly delicious food at weddings–truly, it’s incredible. But the food at this wedding was exceptionally good. Lili is a vegan so she had vegan options for each part of the meal and my god was it good (Kari was in heaven)!
Additionally, Lili and Antoine chose wedding bands that were handmade by Flore & Zephyr — 100% ethical jewelry designers (and two of the most wonderful humans you’ll ever meet!)
However, it wasn’t just the food or decorations or wedding bands that made this wedding so wonderful. Antoine and Lili have a precious group of friends and family surrounding them. Their outdoor ceremony in front of the Château d’Osthoffen near Strasbourg was filled with an outpouring of love for these two by their closest friends and family.
Château weddings have a tendency to be elegant, but this was more than that. They personalized the grounds to work for them and their guests. There was a little play area for the kids and tons of awesome little (and big) details that made this wedding day completely their own.
Take a look at the photos and try to tell me these two aren’t the best.
