So sorry we’ve been absent over the holidays. We’ve had tons of friends and family visiting and no time whatsoever to update our blog! We promise to try to catch up. It’s going to be a chore, but we’re up to the task.
Today we’re sharing a few fashion shoots we did for an amazing business called Judith + James. NYC Fashion Week is rapidly approaching and Judith and James will once again be featured in one of the Designer Showcase runway shows.
Judith + James is an organization started by an incredible woman named Anna Taylor who saw a need in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya and had the courage to step up and meet the need head-on. She not only began a sewing school to teach the local women (mostly widows) how to sew, but took her passion a step further by starting a women’s clothing line so she could employ the graduates of her program. Anna designs the clothes and creates the patterns, then the women sew the clothes. Anna designs and markets her clothes for young professional women in the US. At the end of this post, we’re going to share links where you can see Anna’s full story and get more information about donating to the James127 Foundation (which contributes to the training for the women to sew and make jewelry).
We’re so honored that we get to be a part of this beautiful business. We feel strongly that it is important for people to take care of the widows and orphans around the world and in our own backyards- and that is exactly what Judith + James is doing. We can’t wait to photograph the Spring/Summer collection in a few weeks!

A huge “Thank You” to our beautiful models. Especially Leah Goldwoman and Michaela O’Shaughnessy for modeling the clothes so perfectly, and to Sebastian Stimman for being such handsome arm candy.
